ME+EM’s Senior eCommerce Manager Bethany, 5’2”, styles this month’s new arrivals.
Side Stripe Tailored Sweatpant
+ TURN-UP CUFF
Cuffs are designed so that they can be turned up to shorten the length of the leg without affecting the shape.
+ ELASTICATED WAIST
An elasticated waist means you can wear this sweatpant higher on the waist to prevent it from feeling too long. Pair with a curved hem sweater: it’s shorter at the front so that the hemline doesn’t compete with the tie and add bulk. Tucking it in at the front will also serve to visually add inches to legs.
A subtle, tonal side stripe in black grosgrain draws the eye from hip to ankle, visually elongating legs.
Floral Print Maxi Skirt
+ DIPPED HEM
The hem is designed to be shorter at the front to just reveal ankles, a design trick that makes legs look longer. It also means this skirt can be styled through the seasons, with ankle boots now and with flats later.
+ FIXED WAISTBAND
Cut for a slim fit across the hips, size down to wear this skirt higher on the waist.
Italian Wool Flannel Wide-Leg Crop Pant
+ Although it’s designed for a cropped length, this trouser works just as well as a full-length pant if you’re shorter. The wide-leg silhouette is super flattering and can be worn with boots, heels and flats.
+ Style with a curved hem sweater. Shorter at the front, it can be easily tucked in to avoid cutting off valuable inches at the front of the leg, and left untucked at the back for coverage and a more relaxed look.
