Bursting with an array of blooms you’d be hard-pushed to find in even the most flower-filled gardens, the Spring Collection celebrates a change in seasons and embraces spring with a host of floral clothing and occasionwear solutions in riotous color, soft pastels, bespoke prints and flattering silhouettes.
Wanting to evoke the nostalgic feelings of an English garden, our design team began sourcing vintage prints as inspiration. They embraced the clash of bright rose and orchid with poppy red, and loved the idea of bright saturated colours worn back with spring neutrals such as the light olive tones, soft chalks and ecru you’ll find scattered throughout the collection. This palette was then translated to the season’s bespoke prints.
TRAILING FLOWER
Each of our prints starts life as a hand-drawn sketch on paper before it’s worked on digitally. By starting this way, without restrictions or confinements, there’s freer movement that results in more organic shapes seen throughout our Trailing Flower print. A result of this boundless creativity, it debuts in a combination of cream, blue and Sicilian olive.
With a transeasonal versatility, the pattern is celebrated over an eco-conscious recycled yarn on a maxi and a fit-and-flare dress, as well as a floor-length floral skirt and a coordinating halterneck top. These pieces fill your closet with a plethora of eventwear solutions that also satisfy your working-week preferences.
BLUEBELL
Set against both a soft blue and cream backdrop, our Bluebell print pays homage to a flower synonymous with the first signs of spring.
Two spring-to-summer dresses in eco-conscious recycled yarns with a soft drape and lightweight hand feel introduce the print to elevated occasionwear. An optional tie on our Bluebell Print Shirred Maxi Dress + Tie allows you to choose between different silhouettes by emphasizing your waist or creating a looser drape when it’s not decorating the neckline.
A lustrous blend of silk and cotton on our Silk Cotton Bluebell Print Blouse, in contrast, finds a home for the floral motif in your work and weekend outfits in more off-duty fashion.
GRAPHIC TULIP
While it’s inspired by a deep brown velvet design in an Art Nouveau style thought to have originated in 20th-century France, our Graphic Tulip print is decidedly of the 21st century.
In a bolder and brighter color palette, it covers comfortable stretch jersey to create two, easy everyday-to-event dresses, one with a flattering V-neckline accompanied by gathered detailing and the other in a sleeveless silhouette topped with a high neckline. While it debuted in the March Collection, this isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of this print; it’s going to be covering woven dresses and a jumpsuit in a new color combination when summer arrives.
ROSE
Discovered in a collection of prints sourced from the French commune of Bourgoin-Jallieu known for its textile finishing and weaving for at least 5,000 years, a hand-painted allover rose motif was where the design for this print began.
Little changed from the original, our iteration is scattered over soft, breathable cotton imbued with a hint of stretch on an ankle-skimming midi dress detailed with an invisible zip fastening through the chest and fitted cuffs that are stitched with shirring at the back so they can be pushed up without disrupting the clean aesthetic.
POLKA DOT FLOWER
The idea for our Polka Dot Floral came from reducing a floral print into a modern spot. The result is a contemporary pattern that, at first glance, appears to be a classic polka dot but on closer inspection reveals itself to be a series of floral motifs. Crafted from recycled crepe with non-crease properties, this floral maxi dress keeps pace with busy working days that carry on into impromptu dinners.
WATERCOLOR FLORAL
A bouquet of painterly florals that look as though they’re just been plucked from a garden in bloom and our key Spring Collection colors come together on our Watercolor Floral print.
On a supersoft fabric, it finds a home on a flattering swing dress that transforms into a fit-and-flare style with its optional belt secured at your waist and caters to different dress codes thanks to a hook-and-eye fastening at the neckline and a concealed zip fastening through the chest. Framed by a contrasting trim, it’s signed off with lace detailing that’s echoed in the coordinating floral blouse.
Crafted from a luxuriously soft blend of cotton and silk, the blouse can be paired with dark-wash or white denim pieces for a spring or summer-ready look or with tailoring to introduce bright, eye-catching colour to your rotation of failsafe workwear ensembles.
WILD MEADOW
Taking inspiration from exotic orchids, our design team curated a deeper, more intense color palette hero throughout two iterations of our Wild Meadow print.
A lighter version that chooses a pastel-blue base as its foundation accompanied by cream detailing covers an ankle-grazing tiered maxi dress and is easy to pair with any of our jackets from this month’s collection thanks to its more pared-back palette. With an adjustable neckline and optional belt, it addresses different styling penchants and accommodates all bust sizes. Find a home for the same print in more relaxed outfitting with the matching floral blouse that elevates old favorites like light-wash denim.
In a bolder palette that centers around a deep, vibrant pink base, it defines both a floral midi dress and a fit-and-flare style. The former boasts a series of gathered details down the front to create a fitted silhouette while the latter falls to a softly ruffled hem above your knees and is topped with subtle balloon sleeves.
